Saybolt’s Chemical Division offers a wide variety of inspection and analytical services for handling, transport and storage of chemicals worldwide.
Products handled by the Saybolt Chemical Division include various solvents, aromatics, paraffins, olefins, chlorinated hydrocarbons, liquefied petroleum and chemical gases, plasticizers, ethers, esters, amines, monomers, additives, ketones, glycols, alcohols, synthetic fats and oils, fertilizers and many specialty chemicals.

Our laboratories feature highly skilled personnel competent in a full array of analytical techniques and equipment. Equipment includes gas chromatograph (GC), gas chromatograph/mass spectrophotometer (GCMS), atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS), inductively coupled plasma (ICP), Fourier transform infrared spectrophotometer (FTIR), X-ray fluorescence (XRF), ion chromatograph (IC), ultraviolet/visible spectrophotometer (UV/Vis), microcoulometer, chemiluminescence and a variety of autotitrators. Saybolt laboratory services have proven valuable to customers for custody transfer, quality assurance, assistance in prevention and solution of costly quality problems and for handling work overloads from other laboratories. In addition to the analytical services, a team of dedicated account managers with specialized insight into specific customers needs and requirements provides around the clock assistance.

Like all other Saybolt Divisions, the Chemical Division also operates in accordance with the strictest international guidelines, including those issued by ASTM, CCIA, ISO, DIN, BS and UOP. All Saybolt activities are subject to the Saybolt Quality Assurance System, meeting national and international quality standards (ISO 9001:2000, ISO 17025).
